Pyrography Projects
All I can say about this new hobby is that it is terribly ADDICTING! There are a million ideas and patterns to choose from, and if you fancy drawing the sky is the limit. It's hard not too look at any piece of non-treated wood sitting in your house and say to yourself.... "hmmm, maybe we should give that a facelift" (be warned). It is also a pretty economical hobby once you've purchase the tools (although, good ones aren't cheap).
My Garden Broom
This is by far the best broom I have ever owned for outdoors. I'm on my second, but that is only because I leave it outdoors year round because it's become part of the decor. It's one of my first wood burning test projects and also my first attempt with adding color using crayon pencils.
Garden Broom #2 - Life Is Better At The Lake
One of my buddies purchased a new lake home that happens to have a large deck. Fish was her decor of choice and her favorite color is fuchsia. Thank you rainbow trout for be such a colorful subject!
Wooden Spoons
If you are going to practice, why not do it with cheap material? This has become one of my favorite past times. I started with patterns I found on the Internet (which I still use), but it's more fun to doodle while watching television and then seeing what happens?
